Pet Cap 38

Pet Cap 38 is a PET or polyethylene cap designed for the specified bottle neck standard — DIN 24, DIN 32, 29/21 or 36/29 depending on the variant. Its tamper-evident ring and integrated pourer (where applicable) are standard in the EU olive oil, vinegar and liquid food market.

Select Pet Cap 38 variants include an integrated pourer spout for clean, controlled dispensing of oils, vinegar and thin sauces. The refillable pourer variants allow consumers to top up the bottle, while non-refillable Guala DOP types prevent refilling — required for EVOO in Italian and Spanish restaurant service.

Pet Cap 38 is manually applied by pressing down and rotating to engage the tamper ring — no mechanical capper required. For automated lines, standard rotary capping heads with a torque setting of 15–25 Ncm are compatible. Validate torque on first production run to ensure tamper ring activation without over-tightening.

PE and PP caps are rated for product contact up to 80 °C. For warm-fill olive oil at 60–70 °C, Pet Cap 38 is fully compatible. Hot-fill above 80 °C or retort applications require a different closure material — contact our technical team.
